I'm a terrible blogger at the moment. Work is so busy which is great financially but I'm missing my blog - I don't have enough time to visit everyone as much as I'd like either.
So I just popped in to say  hello....

Visually I tend to look for natural organic structures but the other day I noticed these.

At last . . .

At last some sunshine after months of greyness. It's still cold but for the last few days the sun has been shining and the sky is blue. This winter will certainly make me appreciate Spring (my favourite season) even more than usual.

Cosy

Whoohoo we've got snow, hope it stays 'til Christmas. Cosy inside, freezing outside - just how I like it.

End of season

There was actually a fine day on Saturday so went down to my allotment to do some much needed digging. My allotment was bare but look at all the colour I found walking about.

Stop and Stare 9

I love this time of year, it is my favourite and I don't want it to end. The woods are just alive with plants, flowers, shoots, colour. I had to stop and stare at all this beauty; buttercups, bluebells and wild garlic, in fact this should be called stop, stare and smell.

My Jack Russell has his own agenda and often drags me on a walk I don't enjoy in order to spend hours in a horrible field which must be full of disgusting dog smells. On the way back we pass this garden and it always makes me stop and stare, mostly because of the gaudy Christmas baubles used as eyes for the animals! These pictures do not do them justice.

Leafy Green

Phewww! What a couple of weeks. My computer expired suddenly in the middle of a design job with an imminent deadline. So I was completely thrown off course and it affected me more than I would have liked it too. In fact the loss of my computer felt like the loss of part of me and that's the bit I didn't like - that I have become so reliant on a machine - then haven't we all. Now I have a brand new computer and everything is back to normal and I feel so much better after a lovely weekend wandering through the leafy green of the woods in Spring (which is what I'd like to be doing every day).

For Yoon See

I've had a request to create a montage of splashing rain water drops. It hasn't rained here for a while so I took some shots of fast flowing water instead - with a few splashes - hope you like it Yoon See. Thanks for suggesting this, I had a great time doing it and when it rains I'll have another go.

TV blues

More out of focus shots. This time of a television programme - Coast - about the South coast of Wales.

Seeing green

I see green everywhere at the moment. These pictures are from one alleyway and all the walls and fences are covered in algae - which means everything is beautifully green.

Found objects

As well as focusing on nature, the other thing I'm visually attracted to are brightly coloured plastic objects. I found this broken toy down an alleyway and had to pick it up. When we were children we noticed strange characters, eccentrics who were not like everyone else, these people scared us and at the same time fascinated us and sometimes I wonder if this is how I appear to local people. Walking the streets picking up rubbish, wood for the fire or pushing a wheelbarrow full of garlic from my allotment along the pavement.
I think when I'm an old lady I'll be pushing a pram full of terriers!

Brighton

Away from the natural for a change, these Brighton shop fronts fascinate me and there's always a dog or two to spot. Little Spindle (three down on left) was not really for sale or I would have bought him. He sat for hours on his owners stall in the weird and wonderful 'Emporium' while dressed up in various outfits.
