Too much fun

We've just spent a week in Cornwall and had a great time - hot sun, blue skies, sparkling sea, too many magners, coastal paths, exhausted jack russell, frozen gooseberry yoghurt, mooching in mooch, kazi bread, fresh mackerel, wild flowers, butterflies, walking, photographing, drawing, carrot cake, danish pastries, fish pie, a good book, chilled rosé - I want to go back!

Wide

I'm definitely at my best in a landscape of wide open spaces.
This illustration for IF is a view from the village of Boisset in the Cantal region of France.

Welcome Jack

Went to my sister's last night & here's a picture of the latest addition to the family - Jacksy. He's had a hard life, in and out of different homes, been run over and had his leg bitten badly by another dog, so it's no wonder he was so nervous when my sister got him. He's been with them for a month now & is settling in really well, infact he's a different dog.
Not a particularly good photo of him but he was desperate for sausages from the barbeque and wouldn't sit still.

At his best too

Gray played live the other Friday, he's been working with jojo only a few weeks and this was their first performance playing songs he's written.

Bellissimo

Dreams are done and the daylight comes
You know the morning’s here
As we rise and open eyes
I feel that you are near

If this is all about devotion
Then it’s all about you and then me
If love is deeper than the ocean
Then it’s wild and wide and wonderful
As waves that roll across the sea

Bellissimo I told you so
And know you just can’t let me go
Bellissimo is how it is
When there is nothing left to miss
When everything is in your kiss
The day is great when it starts
When it starts like this

Dreams are done and daylight come
And show me what you bring
may not be so very much
but to me it's everything

Seed

The other day I planted my runner bean seeds which I collected from last years plants. I love the patterns on the seeds & the glossiness and feel of the shiny cold beans clinking together in my hand as I plant them. They've already started to come up, the green leaves pushing through the compost, almost ready to plant out.

I've drawn them for IF this week and given them a psychedelic feel.
