birds

Our garden is full of birds at the moment, starlings, sparrows, blue tits, goldfinches, blackbirds. They are going mad, flying in all directions collecting food for their babies and then when the babies fledge it's even more chaotic, the noise is intense too. Still it is very inspiring with all this going on as they are so funny to watch.

I can't decide whether I prefer the more realistic colouring or the bright colouring - any preferences? This little goldfinch visits me every morning on the telephone wire outside my studio window, he's so sweet.

I love the brightly colored birds. How lucky you are to have such a pretty little visitor each morning!

I also like the bright one. Beautiful, what a lovely curtain it would make.

Yes, there's a colorful hummingbird that visits a branch just outside our window; I love the interface of parallel worlds! Beautiful colors in your piece, both the green (almost bamboo-green) and bright colors.

I prefer the latter but that's because I love greens and blues together so much (reminds me of the seaside at home, Dalmatia).

What a lovely little finch: you indeed are lucky to have a visitor like that. I had a green woodpecker the other day and was so amazed though apparently they're not unusual.

Beautiful - the real life one and the illustrations! We have some finches building nests on long reeds in the vlei near our house. So amazing that they just know how to build them ...
