Intricate

A few years ago I studied Elizabethan fabrics for a project I was involved in. The intricate embroideries of flowers and insects fascinated me though I'm not sure I have the patience to embroider.

This lifted my heart as soon as I saw it. Fascinating it was inspired by Elizabethan fabrics--have to check them out. (Isn't "intricate" a great topic!)

This is a perfect topic for you! The palm fronds look a bit Egyptian as well as Elizabethan. Awesome! I love the delicate muted colors too.

I agree with all the above here.
Your pattern designs are all so cool, beautiful & uplifting and this piece here is not exceptional.
Simple, soothing colour but touches our heart so deeply.
I feel like dancing and celebrate for you have just set a merry & zen mood here Nicky:)

Wow, Nicky! I love the subtlety of the colors. Looks like you were inspired by that wonderfully fluffy flower below. :) I love the patterns and lines. I must admit, though, I could do without the millipedes. Just promise me they won't come crawling off. :)

A soothing piece in it's intricacy. I wonder too about patience around embroidering. I know I wouldn't be able to se that close up :-|
