Tall

For Illustration Friday this week a drawing of Arundinaria oleosa - a bamboo that can grow up to 30 metres! I have layered one of my foliage photos on top to give depth.

Wow! I don't know if it's the photo you layered but it has this really cool batik look. Love the mix of colors and leaf shapes!

I'm simply entranced with your illustrations! I thought at first glance that this might be a silk painting because of the white outlines. Some of your designs would be perfect for that. Enjoyed your glimpses of the countryside, too.

Love the crinkly texture you've created. Great cool colours and oh...there's a little bettle crawling up one bamboo! Great composition!!

My favourite colours! And isn't bamboo fascinating (it makes the softest fabric too)!

I came here via Julia's blog and agree that your illustrations would work as fabrics. I'd love to wrap "tall" around me and "freeze" would make a beautiful skirt. Most of the time here in the UK we live under such grey skies, it would be nice to carry colour and art on us.
