weeds and wildflowers

At the weekend we went to the weed and wildflower festival. It was a gorgeous midsummer evening and the 13th century church at Bignor had been totally transformed - my pictures do not come close to portraying the magical atmosphere but if you click on the picture it will enlarge slightly.

Lovely photos. I've been on the look out for hair garland pictures. I was so busy making them over the weekend and didn't stop to take any photos of our work, which I had intended to do. So I was really happy to find one here! I think it was one I made too. Just looking at the photo evokes the scent of mayweed and catnip that i'd incorporated into it.

i wish we had places that old to visit in the US... over here something from the 18th century is considered ancient! these pictures are lovely!

Stunning photos! I so wish we had these beautiful places here in the US. There is nothing like European atmosphere.
