Cultivate

Sadly I've given up my allotment as I was not getting enough time to devote to it. I actually feel a great sense of relief rather than sadness and I'm ploughing all my energies this year into cultivating fruit and vegetables in my garden instead. I'll let you know how I get on.

I've done the same in the past. It is a sad statement -that modern day life prevents us from growing our own and being self-sustaining. I'm happy you're still cultivating art!! This is beautiful.

The blue background makes this really unique and interesting, and I really like your banner art as well!

Ah, how wonderfully the background colour sets off the composition! Terrific work Nickey! So, the allotment has had to go :( - but never mind, I'm sure you'll be cultivating your garden with even more enthusiasm now!

I absolutely love this! Your connection to the growing process is so present in this piece.

Great artwork! I like the idea of allotments - we don't have that over here. Not that I would have one - I am no gardener - even spending time on the three plants I have in my garden (okay, there are more than 3) is difficult for me - there are so many other things I'd rather do. And one has to concentrate one's efforts and time - you can't spread yourself too thin!
