It has been confirmed . . . I am going mad! I had it in my head that the theme at Illustration Friday this week was rough, so I did my illustration, put it up and then ... realised everyone else had illustrated 'crunchy' - the correct word. I'm just going for a lie down now . . .The sea has been really rough lately and I love it like this

So it was 'crunchy'! Who cares?? This is great, Nicky! :)
Nice work anyway. You should submit 'rough' as a theme and you'll already have an illustration lined up and ready to go :)
Well, waves can be crunchy this week!! They're great!! I love the colours you've chosen!
Well, it's beautiful nonetheless! So much energy in a balanced way. It's funny, I kept thinking the prompt was Crushed, but didn't so so far as to create a piece. We all benefited from your confusion :) Be well!
love these colours...who cares about the topic? I think December does that to a person....a nice cup of tea and a lie down...:-)
love your crunchy rough seas!
your work is beautiful—love your pattern making.
ps thx for stopping by and leaving a comment!
i've totally done that before, but aren't mistakes like this great? love the illustration. its got a very cool kinda 70s style to it and the muted palette is *!!*.
hey, the story behind your drawing makes it totally perfect! thank you for a good laugh and a great drawing!
lovely rhythmic illustration, very nice colours
I'd consider this a very happy mistake!! Or misunderstanding ;)
Wonderful Nicky!
The rough waves crashed against the cliff making crunchy noises! Hope that makes you fell better :) I love to swim in the sea and rough weather is always a dampener for me!
I am late but I am totally agree with you.
I feel rough lately but good rested.
Really love the idea, composition and colours that you used:)
SO COOL! I look out of our window and see the crazy whipped up action , white caps and turbulance on the bay- your illustration captures it perfectly!
Hahahahaha! Oh boy, I can hear the crunch of those waves! Still, your work is as beautiful as ever.
