History

The weekword is History. I find it much easier to understand things when I have a visual record infront of me telling a story of the past, like fossils in a cliff. (I definitely struggled at school - ploughing through giant textbooks full of facts that we were supposed to remember and yet meant absolutely nothing to us.)
The word was chosen by Anairam, pop over to see her wonderful collages and links to other participants.

Really nice take on history.. the blue is gorgeous and sets off the white linework so well - love that spiney fish. Must get back into weekword again soon!!

I know just what you mean. I like history presented as a novel-but then I feel driven to go and check if the facts are correct-and then about two weeks after that I can't remember them anyway! Love your illustration.

Fantastic illustration! Yes, I agree with you that if something is illustrated visually, it is more interesting and easier to remember. I was one of the lucky students who could remember facts very easily at school, but these days I need a little extra help!

I love this underwater scene depicting history. It would make a great poster! Yes, I think of all the hours wasted in a lecture/class that didn't speak to me.

Amazingly illustrated and have captured my heart. This is another great piece from you.
I love the chaos vs simplicity of this piece, it's the selling point. Thanks:)
