Ripple

The Illustration Friday theme 'Ripple' has been suggested by Kelly Light who has the great idea of raising money for creatures affected by the oil spill. You can buy artist's cards for a donation of $10 to charitable causes - see her website for details.
I've chosen to draw the Great American Egret one of the beautiful birds that may be affected.
When I last looked she had raised over $1000 - see what a ripple can do.
KELLY HAS NOW HELPED RAISE OVER $3000  $4000 $7,400

The spill is just so terribly upsetting. The "ripple" site is a great idea.

It always amazes me how often tragedy prompts some beauty or positive action. Not always timely or equal -- but surprising.

  9. Nicky -

It never stops to amaze me. That in the midst of tragedy there is a will to do good. There is imagination. Creativity. New life.

Dead ends are really never just dead. Invariably they seem to open to new roads.

Your Great American Egret will fly fly fly to new and undiscovered territories, I am sure.
